While living and working in Presque Isle, Roberta met her future husband, Donald, and they were married in 1955. After graduation from Mapleton High School, Roberta moved to Presque Isle, where she began her career with "Ma Bell" and worked in both Presque Isle and Bangor, until her retirement. She was especially proud of her State Road roots. Roberta was the daughter of Millard and Ruby (Webber) Smith. Presque Isle - Roberta Smith Keirstead died peacefully on March 24, 2022, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle at the age of 87.
